The book of Hebrews 10:25
encourages believers not to neglect gathering together with other believers. It
is one of the clearest Bible verses to use when encouraging someone to attend
church and for them to remain connected to the body of Christ.

Hebrews 10:25 says:

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some
is; but exhorting one another…”

You can also use Acts 2:42, where the early believers continued in
fellowship, teaching, breaking of bread, and prayers.

The point is not just for you to say, “Go to church because you have
to.” There is value in gathering with other believers. We encourage one
another, learn the Word, pray together, worship together, and strengthen one
another. So if you are encouraging someone to return to church, you can say
something like:

“Don’t isolate yourself from the gathering of believers. There is something
God does when we gather together in unity and in one accord. Come join us,
let’s worship God together and strengthen one another.”
