Starting a church is more than choosing a name, renting a hall and announcing the first service. You need to be clear about why the church should exist, who you are called to serve, what you believe, the kind of ministry you want to build, and how you will actually disciple people.
Start small if necessary. Gather people who genuinely believe in the vision, begin meeting consistently, teach the Word, pray, build relationships and develop trustworthy leaders. Don’t rush to create a large structure before you have people who are growing and taking responsibility.
There is also the practical side: depending on where you are, you may need to handle registration, finances, leadership structures, safeguarding, venue arrangements and other legal or administrative matters. But don’t let the paperwork become the foundation of the church. The foundation is the vision, the people, sound teaching, spiritual leadership and a genuine commitment to serving the community.
