A good biblical verse that encourages church workers to be good and faithful workers is Colossians 3:23 “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.”

I believe this verse reminds us as church workers that we must not be motivated by the peoples’ approval, but God’s approbation, for when we do the work from the heart and not by the flesh, we are motivated by God’s approbation and not the peoples’ approbation.

Whether we are serving the church, leading a department, helping others, or just a little duty in the church, we should do it wholeheartedly because in the end we are serving the Lord and not men. Another good verse about church workers is 1 Corinthians 15:58, it says, “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord…”

This verse encourages us not to become discouraged or give up on a hard task or our efforts go unnoticed. The people will not always notice what you do, but you must continue to encourage yourself in the Lord.

It is good for people to encourage us, and we should encourage each other, but we must learn to encourage ourselves, for when people do not encourage you it dulls your spirit. So, don’t let peoples lack of encouragement cause you to stop doing what God has asked you to do.
